The Hidden Mile / Whole-house bookings
Take the whole place
Eight rooms is small enough that one group can have all of it — the house, the terrace, and a cafe kitchen working to your timings instead of ours.
The whole place is eight rooms. That is small enough that a single group can take all of it, and when that happens the house stops being a homestay for the weekend and becomes, effectively, yours — including the cafe, which is the part most groups had not thought about until they arrive.
What a full booking actually means
- All eight rooms, so there is nobody else on the property.
- The cafe kitchen cooking to your timings rather than ours — including the late dinner that a group driving up from Delhi always ends up needing.
- One conversation about food, with one person, before you arrive. Vegetarians, allergies, the friend who does not eat onion — all of it settled in advance instead of at the table.
- The terrace and the lawn, in the evening, with nobody asking you to keep it down at ten.
What it suits
Families doing a birthday or an anniversary where the point is that everyone is in one place. Groups of friends who have been trying to coordinate a weekend for two years. Small offsites — we have the desk space and the Wi-Fi for the working half of it, which is described on the workation page.
What it does not suit, said plainly: a loud party. The nearest neighbours are not far, the hillside carries sound further than you would think, and we would rather tell you that now than at midnight.
What it costs
A whole-property rate depends on the season and the number of nights, and it is not a figure we will put on a page and then argue about later. Message us with your dates and how many of you there are and we will quote you properly — usually the same day. Our published room rates are ₹4,000 and ₹5,500, and a full-house booking is negotiated from there rather than above it.
For what it is worth, the 15% discount on three nights or more, Sunday to Thursday applies to groups too, and a midweek group weekend is the cheapest version of this there is.
Before you ask
Two things we get asked that are worth settling early. Dogs are welcome and stay free, so a group with a dog in it is not a problem. And whether a room can take a third person is a question we would rather answer for your specific room and group than in general — ask us and you will get a straight answer.
Tell us about your group
Send us your dates, how many of you there are and roughly what the weekend is for. We will come back with a proper quote, usually the same day.
