The Hidden Mile / Coffee & Clouds Cafe
Coffee & Clouds
Our cafe sits on a glasshouse terrace above the valley at Suwakholi. It is open to the people staying with us and to anyone else who finds the turning — and most of our guests say it is the reason they came back.
There is a long stretch of the Mussoorie–Dhanaulti road where the shops thin out and there is nowhere good to stop. We built the cafe for that stretch. It is glass on three sides, so on a clear morning you are eating inside the view rather than looking at it through a window, and when the cloud comes up the valley it arrives at the table.
What we cook
Everything is made the moment you order it, which means nothing is fast and nothing has been sitting. Our sourdough pizza is the thing people come back for and the thing they tell other people about. There is proper hill coffee — our Hillside Milk Coffee is boiled long and served hot, the way it should be at this altitude — along with an all-day menu of comfort food, north Indian plates and the sort of breakfast that justifies a slow start.
The menu runs to more than sixty dishes and changes with what the kitchen can get. If you have a preference, tell us when you arrive and the kitchen will work around it.
